Mid-Week Funk

Ok, I am really missing my computer.  Hubby doesn't want to buy a new monitor until he gets paid next week which leaves me borrowing his computer.  Of course, he's always on it in the evenings.  <pout>

For my entrecard friends, don't expect a lot of drops from me until I'm back on my own computer.  I haven't had much free time during the daytime hours and he dominates his pc in the evenings.  I'll get back to dropping as soon as I can.

Luckily, my bday present from Hubby arrived yesterday.  I'm the proud owner of a lovely little 8G IPod Nano.  I've only had it a day and already love it.  I don't know how many of you know who Jeff Dunham is, but he has a puppet named Peanut and he is sketched on the back of my IPod.  Yeah, I'm a dork but it's so cute.  The IPod also came pre-loaded with both of Jeff's dvds which can keep me giggling while I suffer computer withdrawl.  If you haven't seen Jeff before, be sure to check out his site.  He's an awesome ventriliquist and incredibly funny.

Speaking of my birthday, I get to celebrate it tomorrow in an all-day training session for the new job.  One of the stores they are preparing to open is a Brooks Brothers clothing store.  It's high-end retail and apparently they feel the need to hold a training session for the new sales associates and myself since I'll probably be assigned to supervise the store in the mornings.  I can't say it's the best way to spend my birthday, but I am assuming that I will get paid for attending the training session.  I better or hell might break loose.  They've already cost me enough money in parking fees for the times I've had to go in for paperwork and badging.

I'm uncertain if the Hubby and I will do anything tomorrow night.  We may just have a quiet night at home.  I believe we are going to head to Foxwoods Casino on Friday.  I feel like having a little fun.  Plus, I want to go to eat at Junior's. Junior's is very well-known in New York and claims to have the best cheesecake and they just opened up a location within Foxwoods.  One of their locations was on the cheesecake episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay.  So, it has to be good!!  I'll probably gain 10 pounds, but I don't care! You only live once after all.

      Thanks hon!!

And I can't tell you how much I already love my IPod.  Seriously, save up and buy yourself the IPod Nano (5th Generation).  It plays music, videos, stores photos and plays games.  I downloaded a game from ITunes this afternoon and have been keeping myself amused since then.  LOL
