A Sneak Peek - Candle Making

While waiting for the American Idol results show this evening, I decided to make a few more candles.  I find that I'm really enjoying the process.

A few readers had commented that I should post some pics.   I snagged the digital camera and tried to get a couple of good images tonight.

The tealights and the tin on the left are all Pomegranate scented.  The tin on the right is Cucumber-Melon scented.  I actually made that one the other night.  The tins seem to turn out better then the tealights.  I'll have to keep practicing on those (not that they turned out horribly but not as perfect as I'd like).

I still have the Southern Butter Pecan scent to work with next.  And I ordered a honeysuckle scent online today.  My Sister requested a candle and naturally had to want a scent that I don't own.  I'll be crafting that some time next week once the honeysuckle arrives.

Tomorrow - Southern Butter Pecan.  It smells devine!

I have a pink grapefruit soap that smells heavenly, really fresh and citrusy. That would make a nice candle scent too.

    Such a cool hobby.
I'll bet the pecan one smells good enough to eat, although the pomegranate one intrigues me!
Did you know that if you freeze tea lights overnight before you burn them that you get MORE burn time from them?

The Butter Pecan scent does smell good enough to eat.  The Pomegranate gives off a nice scent though.  My kitchen smells good right now.  LOL

And I didn't know that about tealights.  I'll have to try that little trick!

Mmmm, cinnamon vanilla!   I don't have that scent at the moment, but it probably wouldn't be that hard to find.

      Thanks

Floral scents are nice.  I'm looking forward to receiving my honeysuckle scent so I can make a few of those.

Oh, I forgot- I wanted to say I'd love to hear what you have to say about medical transcription. I've heard you can do that from home and stuff. How much do you have to spend on a course for medical transcription?

The majority of medical transcription do work from home.  That's one of the biggest draws of going into that field.  A lot of stay at home moms do it.

The course I'm doing which is through a company called CareerStep cost me around 1500.  I do my course completely online, but it is available to do through books/workbooks at home as well.  It's a very detailed course and has been a struggle for me at times, but I think once I'm actually working it will start to feel more natural and comfortable to me.

Trip was rather boring for me, but I wasn't surprised by that.
